Overview

As a parent of an autistic child, Pam Newell speaks about her fears concerning her son. Namely, she is worried about a lack of acceptance and inclusion due to his social deficit. This concern drives her to advocacy.

Pam is a former early childhood educator and is the proud parent to three wonderful children. Pam has a daughter and fraternal twin boys that keep her busy on a daily basis. Brandon (who is a fraternal twin) is currently seven years old and has high functioning autism. Pam's extensive classroom experience as a general education teacher gave her the incredible opportunity to work with children who have autism. Years later, Pam found her classroom experience to be extremely beneficial as her own son learns to manage life with autism.
