Overview
Pam shares the story of two young boys that she was fortunate to teach in 1997. Hear how one young man with autism and a classmate remained close friends throughout the years and celebrated their graduation from Memorial High School (Houston,TX) together (2008). Both will be further their educations at Rice University and the University of New Mexico respectively.
Presenter
Pam is a former early childhood educator and is the proud parent to three wonderful children. Pam has a daughter and fraternal twin boys that keep her busy on a daily basis. Brandon (who is a fraternal twin) is currently seven years old and has high functioning autism. Pam's extensive classroom experience as a general education teacher gave her the incredible opportunity to work with children who have autism. Years later, Pam found her classroom experience to be extremely beneficial as her own son learns to manage life with autism.
