Sam has an amazing teacher who is keenly aware of children's needs and the learning differences our kids can be faced with. For years, we have known there might be a seizure issue that has been undetected. About 2.5 yrs ago, Sam had a one hour EEG performed. It was the sleep-deprived one that breaks your back trying to prepare for it. The EEG did not show any seizures at that time. We were told (on numerous occasions by the doctor) that a one hour EEG may not capture the reality of what is going on inside his brain. Now, two and a half years later, we are preparing for the night time EEG test. This video was captured by Sam's teacher without him knowing it. The "hidden camera" gives you a glimpse into what typically occurs 20-50 times in a four hour period. Look how he is working at his math problems when suddenly his eyes dart to the top corners and he appears to have lost time. This occurs multiple times during this brief video. We are thankful to have people in Sam's life who care so much that they would do anything to help him. Thank you to Ms. S.
