Overview

Pam Newell describes her experience as a teacher in a public school district regarding the inclusion of special needs children in the classroom. She expresses that teachers need more training in order to be more open and comfortable with special needs children in the general education classroom.

Pam is a former early childhood educator and is the proud parent to three wonderful children. Pam has a daughter and fraternal twin boys that keep her busy on a daily basis. Brandon (who is a fraternal twin) is currently seven years old and has high functioning autism. Pam's extensive classroom experience as a general education teacher gave her the incredible opportunity to work with children who have autism. Years later, Pam found her classroom experience to be extremely beneficial as her own son learns to manage life with autism.

I have a son in middle school and I have had more problems with some teachers than students. Its so frustrating
