When a child misses the milestone of speech parents notice. Therapists at the Susan Gray School are trying a new scientifically based program that is designed to help children with autism learn to speak. A sensory integration program is used to teach children words in an specially designed room that challenges all their senses.

The Community School in Decatur Georgia understands what it takes to create a warm, inviting, and safe environment for kids with autism. The Community School has 8 male students and 12 faculty members and is designed for students between the ages of 12-18. The faculty work with the students, progressing them to the point of graduation in the district's GED program.
