Tell Me You've Been There, And What I Can Do.

Yesterday was one of the worst times we have had with Jacob. This blog post won't be eloquent or end happily- I am too emotional for that right now.
I am so torn up about what to do in future situations like this. I'm sick over it and it is all I can think about. Here's what happened:
Our evening routine is that Jacob takes a bath, takes his medicine, brushes his teeth, then has his vitamins. This has been working really well for us- he's actually been happy to get in the bath and do this routine after many years of struggling to get him bathed and clean.

If Only Life Was a Musical

If Only Life Was a Musical……
We challenge you to find one person that doesn’t like music. Seriously…..it’s pretty much impossible. Everyone likes at least one genre of music, if not several. As adults, music can serve many different purposes. It can be for pure enjoyment. Music can help with our emotional states….it can calm us down and decrease our stress. Music can pep us up and get our energy booming. Music can help us focus on important tasks. Music can be a social outlet for us. Music can also help us learn. This is the same for children!

Question of the Day: The Holidays are Approaching

Question of the Day: The holidays are approaching. How can I prepare my child?
The holidays have a tendency to sneak up on us. September went by like nobody’s business....soon it will be Halloween…..then Thanksgiving will hit us like a ton of bricks……then before you know it, it’s Hanukah, Christmas and then New Year’s. Whew! For me, the holidays are typically a whirlwind of preparation and stress, but of course filled with wonderful traditions and fun time with family. If the holidays can be stressful for us, think how stressful they can be for our children.
