After The Results

We received good news yesterday....Sam's extended (9hrs 50min) EEG results came back "normal". In the blink of an eye, I felt a wave of elation and happiness. It's not complicated, no more tests, no more prodding or questions being asked of us while he sits there and wonders why everyone in the room is talking as if he isn't present. This chapter (for the time being) closed.
So what happens after the results are in? Does this mean he automatically stops having these small "spells"? The answer is no. Only time will tell us more.

Missouri Passes Legistlation

Legistlation was signed in Missouri by Gov. Matt Blunt that throuhg HB 2023 designates $5 million for planning, design, renovation, construction, and/or purchase of a facility for the Thompson Center. The Thompson Center assists many children throughtout the state of Missouri.

Fractured Sleep

A consortium of researched led by scientists at Houston's Baylor College of Medicine have found that a lack of both the fragile X syndrome gene and a related gene is most likely the culprit in disturbing the sleep patterns in many diagnosed with autism. they have found mice that were deficient in the fragile X gene (FMR1) and a similar gene (FXR2) had no rhythm to the wake and sleep patterns.
