THE GREATER GOOD Movie –FREE Viewing NOW through Nov. 8th

submitted by lawilcox

UPDATE 11/7/11: I JUST LEARNED THAT THE FREE VIEWING HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH TOMORROW, NOVEMBER 8TH!
Enjoy, ~Leigh
Did you know that this week is Vaccine Awareness Week? Dr. Mercola and the National Vaccine Information Center have teamed up to offer free viewing of a particularly powerful film on the subject of vaccines through November 5th. THE GREATER GOOD is a film I strongly recommend to any person who chooses to be informed about vaccines, whether for yourself or for your child.
My husband and I saw the film together last spring at the Dallas International Film Festival. I feel the film makers did a marvelous job of carefully examining both “sides” of this controversial topic by speaking to experts in the field and interviewing individuals and families who have personally witnessed adverse vaccine reactions. It is a MUST SEE in my opinion.

Dr. Gore has devoted her life to making the world a better place for those with special needs. Through the creation of Initium House and the Autism Support Program, Dr. Gore has created a legacy and model that universities around the world will follow.

Life Changing

submitted by KentPotter

Life Changing is the only way I can begin to explain what it is like to be a team member here at projectLD. We have worked diligently to stay the course and deliver on our objectives that we set back in April 2007. All of us love the thrill that comes with creating media that changes lives.

WALL*E

submitted by MattUsey

Carrie made a discovery in the paper recently. A local theater was offering a free showing of WALL-E on Saturday morning for special needs kids and their families. My first thought was, “Wow, that’s great. Here’s a place that is reaching out to our community.” My second thought was, “What’s the catch?

Horton Hears a WHO

submitted by lindalaytonsmith

I got a phone call a week or so ago from Kaitlyn, my oldest and Sam and Luke’s favorite sitter, “MOM…we have to take the boys to see Horton! Call Angie and see if she’ll let us take them!”
I was not at all surprised when Angie not only gave us permission, but thanked us for even asking!
So we’re planning to take the boys…soon.
