Farm owner of the last rose farm in New England, Tom Pinchbeck, partnered with a local foundation called "Ability Beyond Disability" to employ and train 25 adults with autism. Here they learn to cultivate, cut and package the flowers for sale.

UK Government Needs to Uphold Their End of the Bargain

Hearings surrounding the Welfare Reform Bill in the UK are being met with concern from the UK's leading autism group. There is concern that the government is not meeting predetermined agreements with regard to bettering the lives of over 300,000 working age adults with autism and assiging them with employment.

Workin' It

Twelve years ago, when CJ and I were newlyweds and expecting TJ, we decided that we would not count on my income to maintain our home and pay bills. We both agreed that we liked the idea of my first priority being the raising of our future children. Back then we didn't know that this was the best choice we could have made. Autism and a high-needs child weren't even close to being on our radar. But I believe that things happen how they are meant to happen, and we have been able to be flexible with my employment when we have really needed to be.
