Christine describes how the Texas Virtual Academy was a godsend to her family. Her family had struggled, first with trying to get a diagnosis for their son (who was eventually diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome) and later with trying to find a good school for him. After being dissatisfied with her public school, she heard about a public online school from a friend. Within 10 days, she had a computer, a printer, a solid curriculum, and fresh hope for her son's education. She (along with her talkative birds) shares their story.
