Researchers here in the United States think they have found a possible genetic link between autism and mitochondrial disease. In genetic and clinical study of 37 children on the spectrum, 60% had the genetic markers for mitochondrial disease.
During the week beginning April 1st, Project Lifesaver marked its 1,666 national find. This project has saved lives of those suffering from Alzheimers, Autism, and other medical conditions that caused them to wander from home or care facilities.
