How To Travel: ASD Style
Rashele shares tips from her more than 15 years in the travel industry and exploring the globe with her son who has Autism.

When I thought I had seen everything!!!!!

Hurricane Ike sent GG and myself to Allen to stay with Kent, Angie, Sam and Luke. Big Bad Ike caused us to lose electricity and without power, the home gets a little warm. GG does not like a hot house, without lights and no air conditioning. Our plans were to go to Allen and GG would stay for several days, but, I would go back in a day or two. Five days later and I'm still here.

"Me Too!"

Having a child with autism is all consuming. You are constantly thinking about their progress, their regressions, their therapies, their perseverations.... their recovery.

Play WITH Me : Teaching Parents How To Connect With Their Child On The Spectrum
Learning how to play with your child and create a lasting relationship.

Not Enough

Sam loves his homeschool PE class at Lifetime Fitness. Besides this being just the coolest gym you have ever seen, the PE class is amazing. Kids get the opportunity to hang out with other kids that are either doing the homeschool thing or who attend a university model program. The class is run like a super-cool PE class and the kids totally dig it.

It's a Sensory World

One of the autism support groups we participate in had a get together at It's a Sensory World in Dallas today. These types of groups are a fantastic way to connect with other parents and their children who are on the spectrum.
