Further Testing of MMR Vaccine Yields No Autism Link

With measles cases at a recent all time high, a study released today by Dr. W. Ian Lipkin and other researchers at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons alleges that their findings prove that there is no link between the MMR vaccine and autism.

Public Health Risk Seen as Parents Reject Vaccines

Physicians are concerned about a rise in a recent rise of measles cases in California. Of the 12 reported cases, 9 were from families that chose to not vaccinate their children, the other 3 children were too young to receive the measles vaccine.

New study refutes MMR "leaky gut" Theory

A new study suggests there is no evidence that the MMR jab damages the intestine and in turn causes autism. The "leaky gut" theory goes that vaccines can damage the intestine wall which, in turn, causes digestive problems. These digestive problems are believed by some to lead to the production of peptides which can damage the brain. With a study group of over two-hundred boys, the researchers found no differences in the peptide levels between the autistic and control groups.

Two sets of parents from Belgium have been sentenced to five month terms for not having their children vaccinated against Polio. The parents have been given a temporary reprieve, however, to give them another chance to have their children vaccinated. Mandatory Vaccinations Being Rejected By Parents

Parents in Jackson, Mississippi are backing a bill that will give them the choice to not vaccinate. In addition, many parents want to limit the amount of vaccines given at one time because of seizures being a possible side effect. If passed the bill would exempt children from being vaccinated and provide the exemption to the public school district, allowing them to remain enrolled in the education system.
