Statement from United Kingdom's National Autistic Society in Response to Government Report

Chief Executive Mark Lever, of the National Autistic Society recently responded to the United Kingdom's Work and Pensions Committee Report. Outlined in his rebuttal, Lever details the lifelong struggle that autism presents to those diagnosed with it and the toll it can take on a families finances. He, along with the NAS are urging the government to step up and provide better funding and services for families throughout the UK.

DVD to assist with Facial Recognition

Recently released in the United Kingdom, and set to be soon distributed to other english speaking countries is a DVD called "The Transporters". The DVD is geared toward teaching children with autism to recognize emotion via facial recognition using both real actors, and computer generated settings.

UK Campaign Pushing To Vaccinate All Who've Missed MMR

The UK is campaigning hard to vaccinate the millions of british children in their region that have skipped out on the MMR vaccine. Recently in June, a unvaccinated british teenager died of the illness. He was the 2nd person to die from measles in Britain in 16 years.

More Kids In The UK Not Being Immunized

Due to fears associated with vaccinations causing autism, more children in the United Kingdom are not having their immunizations done opening them up to a greater risk of infectious diseases.
