Is Contaminated Aborted Human DNA the Issue?

Could vaccines really be the problem after all? Some groups remain strong in this belief. Research suggests children can recover from autism

10-20%. That's the number that psychology professor Deborah Fein of the University of Connecticut believes can recover from autism. In research she presented at an autism conference in Chicago last week, she outlined the cases of 20 children on the spectrum that no longer met the autism criteria. The study is also going as far as comparing brain imaging scans in formerly autistic children to analyze if their normal behavior is a result of normal brain activity.

Colorado Mulling Autism Bill

Governor Bill Ritter will soon be receiving a bill on his desk asking for assistance. Senate Bill 244 will require that insurance providers recognize autism spectrum disorders and that they cover treatments for those disorders until age 19. For children up to 8 years old a cap of $34,000.00 would be in place, and $12,000.00 for ages 9-19.

The Kennedy Krieger Institute conducted a study comparing the brains of high functioning children with typically developing children and compared their ability to perform simple motor skill tasks. The research shows that children with autism were more dependent on the region of the brain that controls effortful movement.
