University of Illinois at Chicago researchers are involved in an effort to seek, obtain, and study the DNA samples of 2,000 autism patients over the next 3 years. The study will create a database of information of families that are affected with only one autistic child. This database will allow researchers to compare genetic factors that may contribute to autism.
