Many parents of autistic children in the greater Des Moines area are turning to a 5 week theatre arts program specifically tailored to assisting affected children. The goal of the program is to help children learn how to interact and socialize with others, and how to "act in real life". Many take the approach that it's much like giving your child a tutor for any other subject like Math or English, only in this case the tutoring is giving assistance in social cues.
