narrow insurance reform

Just thought I'd mention: Like many other "insurance reform" bills, this one supports coverage for ABA, but NOT for biomedical treatments. Don't get me wrong, coverage for ABA is a VERY good thing, but whenever you see Autism Speaks involved or phrases like "science-based treatments" the bill is continuing an agenda to marginalize biomedical treatments that work for so many of our kids. My family, like many others, is still going broke because we can't stop the expensive treatments that are really working but are still ignored by insurance. This kind of insurance reform doesn't help us, and that fact is never in the news.
