Andrew Wakefield became well-known with a 1998 article about his research linking vaccines to the onset of childhood autism. Wakefield's study has been used by anti-vaccination advocates such as Jenny McCarthy of MTV fame to further their cause. But scientists were skeptical from the beginning, the article was ultimately discredited, Wakefield lost his license and Wednesday he was labeled a fraud. He will most certainly be searching for payday loans to obtain legal advice if claims of fraud are to carry on.
