Two Canadian mothers, neither with children on the spectrum, have come together to write two book called "Welcome to My Autistic World" and "Autism Epidemic: Shaking the System". After having been a volunteer at her child's elementary school, Litsa Kamateros noted how ASD children were treated differently by their peers, and even by some parents. This sparked an idea on raising awareness and creating the children's picture book "Welcome to my Autistic World". In addition to that book she and Lea Schizas a writer and editor, decided to create their second book, geared toward recognizing signs and being a roadmap to parents on treating a child with autism.
