Claudine Intner wasn't one to sit back and wallow in the despair of having a child with autism, though she felt like doing it many times. She, having a background in art and media created "Art Now for Autism" which collects and sells artwork that benefits famlies of children with autism.

Autism Conference in Beruit Deemed Successful

Parties from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations gathered in Beirut recently to hold a conference to raise awareness on autism, discuss early detection signs, and the benefits of early diagnosis. The 2 day conference at the Crowne Plaze Hotel in Beirut was well attended with a crowd of over 300 attendees.

Rutgers Researcher Examines Connections Between Vision and Movement

Rutgers psychology professor Maggie Shiffrar is currently conducting research into the perception of body language and movements and how autistic people perceive others. Shiffrar was granted a $400,000 grant from the Department of Homeland Security to learn how emotional states are observed and to interpret body movements.
