Stay Tuned For the Fall

Submitted by kidspeak on Sat, 08/18/2012 - 13:18.

KidSpeak is taking a break from blogging to wrap up the rest of the summer semester, to prepare for the new school year and to spend some time with family and friends. We will be back in September with lots of new material to help you prepare for the holidays and for keeping your child social during the fall!

In the meantime, we recommend taking a look back at our older blogs……scroll through and pick ones that may catch your eye. Read blogs that you’ve already read, they may have a different effect on you and your family now than they did when you initially read them. Share links with friends that you think would benefit from a read. This is also the perfect time to start prepping your child for their new classroom, new friends, a new school and any new extracurricular after school activities they may have on their calendars. The more exposure your child gets to any unfamiliar events and routines, the more successful they will be it’s time to have fun! Take your child to their new classroom in advance to let them get familiar with the environment, do fun back to school art projects, read theme-related books, write your child social stories preparing them for what will happen, show your child photos of their friends and more.
Have fun preparing for the new school year and we will be back in September!
