Hope...........

Is sometimes hard to come by. When you have tried everything you know to try - speech, diet, OT, ABA, supplements, yada yada yada. Results don't always come as fast as you'd hoped for.

I am not an overly "churchy" person, but I do have a strong faith and try (try being the key word) to live right. This Sunday, instead of zoning out, I completely changed my mindset about The Rock. We sang a song at the end of the service, one of those songs that makes the lump in your throat and you have to open your eyes wide so that tear doesn't roll down your cheek. God forbid anyone see that you are affected - my worst nightmare.

It went like this:
"God will make a way,
when there seems to be no way.
He works in ways we cannot see,
He will make a way for me.
He will be my guide,
Hold me closely to His side.
With love and strength for each new day,
He will make a way."

New HOPE. For a very difficult weekend and an even harder Sunday morning - that is exactly what I needed to hear. The Rock may never be "cured" but he does have immense potential to live a normal life. He WILL make a way for that to happen - you have to believe that.

And for the love, he is the cutest dang thing I have ever seen.
