Fresh is a wonderful word. There is nothing like strolling through an outdoor market in Kauai sampling the fresh fruit while waves crash in the background nearby. Driving in a convertible down Highway 1 in California and looking out over the ocean and the fresh air that tells you nightfall is coming soon. The fresh smell of a baby as they are being swaddled after their evening bath. Fresh. It sometimes says it all.
We hope you are enjoying the fresh, new look of AutismSpot. People think innovation stops with a good idea. The reality is that innovation is a constant and evolving process. If you are not pushing yourself, your company, and your team, then you are coasting. Sometimes, coasting is a great thing, though. You have the slow down, recharge and then POW!... out you go again. Our team is an intense and highly creative group. We crave pushing limits and testing boundaries. Some people swear off the word CAN'T. I love it. It means someone thinks something is impossible. This is often my signal to GO!. So there you have it, Batman.....FRESH! POW! GO! (my little super hero Luke would be so proud if he could read).
Just when you thought you knew what we had planned next we toss you a new homepage, improved navigation so you can easily reach our hundreds of videos, and some super-fabulous new content that is waiting in the lobby getting ready to board the plane. To our new friends in Croatia, we say welcome and please let us know what more you would like to see on AutismSpot.
Since the launch of AutismSpot just eight months ago, we have been blessed to reach 77 countries and are humbled by the stories you have shared with us. We are a united, international community that shares our lives and the world of Autism together. The fight for better resources, improved education, community awareness, and acceptance knows no borders. Our children, our adult friends, and our senior citizens who have Autism deserve the same opportunities as everyone else. Awareness and Action must go hand in hand. Make people aware, then empower them with unbiased knowledge and information, and now show them how they can help. Pretty simple, but very difficult to achieve.
We have developed relationships with hundreds of leading experts. One of the things I learned as an executive in corporate America is that many times we get comfortable hearing from the same people, over and over, who are viewed as "the experts". More often then not, this is short sighted and inaccurate. Some of the most aware and active experts don't spend much time in the media spotlight or simply writing papers for journals. When you become engrained in the community you start hearing of those who are working on cutting edge options, you see therapies that others have no clue exist, you see the fundamentals improved upon and then there is the first hand experiences of those who have seen improvement and success from the great work all these unknown experts have done.
AutismSpot has not only connected with some of the most recognized experts that you may have already heard of; but, we are uncovering the experts of tomorrow that might just be sitting in your backyard. We are a platform for extensive, comprehensive information that is delivered in the most engaging medium available today. So whether you are one of the many who reach the site from a dial-up connection or you happen to reach us over a T3 connection....you experience the same result. Fast, easy access to vital information.
We hope you make an effort to share the fresh new face of AutismSpot with your friends, family, schools, doctors and therapists. It is easy for people to catch on to a FREE resource like AutismSpot and begin contributing. We know many of you have been waiting and waiting for the STORE to launch and it is now available. Daily News, Video of the Day, New Blogs, and fresh new content.... plus, many new Learning Tools that will only be found on AutismSpot. Fresh is the vibe of the season!
