DART Rail Camp Day 1: Bestopolis

Submitted by KentPotter on Mon, 06/28/2010 - 12:43.

Today was Day #1 of DART Rail Camp for me and Sam. Luke is attending a week long rock climbing camp and so it was a perfect opportunity for me and Sam to embark on a M-W-F adventure. To begin our journey we fueled up at Starbucks with beverages and good eats. It was incredibly hot this morning so we were pleased to only have waited a few minutes before boarding the train. Unlike our typical rail excursions, this is a week day and so the parking lot was packed. Sam was extremely excited to see so many other people were getting to enjoy the rail today as well.

We did a medium length run from Plano to Mockingbird Station, walked around the courtyard area and made up cool words to describe all the stores that had not opened yet. My favorite word from today was Bestopolis.

Bestopolis is the city where all the best things happen, everyone is super nice and there are no bullies, every restaurant serves items with cheese.

I hope you have a Bestopolis kind of day because we did. Next departure is Wednesday morning.....more to come

:)

thank you for being the bestopolis dad to our boy! :)

Bestopolis!

Gotta' say, I love Bestopolis! That's the kind of word that is going to take off and become part of our American slang within a couple of years...we'll be able to say, "I remember when Sam and Kent Potter coined the term 'Bestopolis'!"

Would love to hear some of the other cool words created on your DART Rail Camp Day 1!
