A Sense of Humor

Submitted by JoeyBarton on Wed, 02/18/2009 - 16:46.

We noticed a few months ago that Mason despite his disability has a keen sense of humor underneath what some would assume at first glance to be a rather unemotional exterior.

I mentioned last week about our daily Q & A to go over the days events. Most days it’s met with the standard answers, but on occasion, when Mason’s mood is well above average he’ll interject his own series of silliness and humor.

Today for example:

Me: “Mason WHO did you eat lunch with today?”

Mason: Giggling…..”Ducks”

Me: in an exaggerated tone “Noooooooo… Mason..who did you really eat lunch with today?”

Mason: “COWS!” uncontrollable laughter.

All the while shooting me a mischievous eye letting me know that he was well aware of what he was doing and adamant at playing the game.

Last night after the nightly bath he prepped for bedtime. After a brief stint streaking around the house sans clothing we caught him and handed him his pajamas and underwear.

Ramped up and giggling, he decided to be creative, sporting his underwear (clean underwear thankfully) on his head calling it his “Pirate Hat” and continued his streaking around the house.

Arrgh Matey!
