Broken Laces

submitted by KentPotter

I was speaking with a mother who recently learned that her son has Autism. She was angry to say the least. Doctor, after doctor, after doctor told her that he was fine and not to worry. He will grow out of it. He's a boy, boys talk late. Your cousin didn't talk until he was four and look at him now.......student council president. This same story plays out daily across the globe.

Odd Talents

submitted by JoeyBarton

Everyone in our family has some sort of quirky talent.
I for example have an inane ability to name any movie I’ve seen since the age of 8 and tell you the name and/or location of the movie theatre I saw it in AND whom I saw it with. I know…completely useless. I also have the ability to think of a random feature film, and within 7 days, said feature film will air on TBS and/or TNT.

Washington, D.C.

submitted by KentPotter

I just returned from a great trip to South Riding, Virginia (thanks S&H! for a great time) and Washington, D.C. The short adventure served three purposes. 1) Meet our nephew (Ryan) 2) Travel with Sam on an airplane (it's been at least 3-4 years since we have tried this) and 3) Meetings and Filming for AutismSpot in D.C. ....oh, and 3a) go to the Georgetown vs Seton Hall game.

Controversy on ABC!

submitted by JoeyBarton

Of all the court dramas that have aired on TV for as long as the vaccine/autism link has been around, I’m surprised we’ve not had a show address it, at least not one that I can remember.
Quite honestly, I knew nothing about the new Eli Stone series, and wasn’t even aware of the controversy surrounding this particular episode. I only found out about it while posting news stories on this very site.
